Argentine artist La Yegros blends ancestral traditions, contemporary texts and wild Latin-American rhythms with rare finesse. Driven by a communal spirit, she crosses genres and borders alongside GECA and Venezuelan drummer Edwin Sanz, exploring cumbia, carnavalito and chamamé in vibrant folkloric colours. This programme, rooted in popular energy, is juxtaposed with the moving intensity of Dvořák’s Symphony No. 7, creating a powerful dialogue between contagiously liberated song and symphonic depth.

Wednesday 24 March, 20:00

Jules Massenet’s Thaïs is presented in a concert version that highlights the opera’s sensuous lyricism and spiritual conflict between a celebrated courtesan and a rigid ascetic. Conducted by Marc Leroy‑Calatayud, the performance features Amina Edris in the title role, with Lionel Lhote as Athanaël and Pene Pati as Nicias. The Chœur du Grand Théâtre de Genève, the Orchestre de Chambre de Genève and students from the Haute école de musique de Genève–Neuchâtel combine to produce a luminous, intimate reading of this masterpiece of French romanticism.

Edgar-Yves Jr. performs a sharp, intimate stand-up that blends provocation and tenderness. He favors an unapologetically human voice — imprecise, awkward and touching — to examine identity, social expectations and the mechanics of laughter. The show alternates quick one-liners and longer personal stories, letting the performer build rapport and surprise. Minimal staging and direct address create an immediate, electric atmosphere that invites reflection as much as amusement.

Jessé presents a compact solo performance that blends sincerity and comedy. With plainspoken presence and precise timing, the comedian unpacks intimate reflections and social observations, moving effortlessly between gentle irony and sharp punchlines. The staging favors close, immediate exchange with the audience, creating moments of warmth and unexpected candour as the performer rolls up his sleeves to deliver a deeply personal message. Text-driven and human, the show privileges honesty over artifice.

Lou Trotignon tells, with humour and candour, a personal story of transition: from starting testosterone and playful strip-tease to the discovery of queer communities. The show blends stand-up and performative moments to gently question gender norms, the relationship to the body and the ways we love. Intimate and often funny, the piece combines raw testimony and theatrical staging to invite reflection and warmth. Presented by Caustic Comedy Club.

Sunday 4 April, 18:00

A taut domestic drama, Un château de cartes stages a dinner that unravels into a tense study of jealousy, identity and shifting loyalties. Adam and Caroline’s intimate argument is interrupted by Vincent’s unexpected return, triggering a disorienting reversal that tilts the household into unsettling territory. The piece relies on precise timing, layered performances and a controlled mise-en-scène to balance dark humour and psychological suspense, inviting the audience into a claustrophobic, volatile evening.
