Thomas Fougeirol

Thomas Fougeirol’s first solo exhibition investigates painting as an uncertain field between surface and relief, image and matter. Through a sequence of repaints layered over earlier Dust Paintings, Fougeirol activates texture, pigment and gesture to blur pictorial depth and sculptural presence. The show foregrounds material encounter and process-led decisions, emphasising modulation of light, density and sedimented histories within oil-and-pigment canvases that oscillate between representation and objecthood.
