Through arrangements drawn from musical theatre and film scores, Sarah Pagin and Cyril Amourette explore a varied sonic palette with elegance and drive. Joined by Salvi Jonathan on drums and Pierre Kuthan on double bass, the quartet reawakens well-known classics and lesser-known gems with delicate, sensual phrasing and close ensemble interplay.
Performed and directed by Eve Aouizerate, this incisive solo creation blends autofiction and faux stand-up to turn fairy-tale promises into a sharp satire. Using humour and precise stagecraft, Aouizerate interrogates reactionary online imaginaries and the contemporary allure of tradwives, exposing tensions between domestic idealisation and feminist inheritance. Swiss mezzo-soprano Marina Viotti and American pianist Todd Camburn form a close musical partnership, presenting a programme that juxtaposes Wagner’s Wesendonck Lieder with Chausson’s Poème de l’amour et de la mer. Drawing on readings like Magali Molinié and Vinciane Despret, the piece explores what cannot be resolved, using theatre’s spectral dimension to imagine passage between forms.
