Quinceañeras is a durational performance created and performed by Colombian artists Estefanía and Luisa, who examine the ambivalence of the quinceañera ritual. Combining movement, symbolic staging and intimate scenography, the piece interrogates colonial legacies and the boundaries of gendered rites of passage. Through choreography and poetic gestures they transform ritual into acts of resistance and self-affirmation, proposing new modes of feminine representation and collective memory within contemporary performance.
