PlasMAH: Flesh and the Siphon

Artists Daniel Dewar and Grégory Gicquel present a large-scale installation conceived as a traversable architecture that reconfigures the museum courtyard into a mutable living environment. Seven works dialog with sculpture, and two pieces were created specifically to engage the lapidary collection and the Pierre-aux-Dames megalith. Using carved stone surfaces, constructed siphons and modular plaster and resin elements, the project explores material metamorphosis, bodily presence and the shifting relations between monumentality and domestic scale.

Opening: Thursday 16 July, 18:30

Cécile Koepfli creates a site-specific window installation of colorful, poetic drawings. Mischievous characters, everyday objects, and fragments of text assemble into a playful, sensitive imaginary world. The works, rendered directly on window panes, unfold as tableaux and narrative vignettes that invite viewers to imagine the activities and encounters that will animate the space.
A seek-and-find game encourages close looking and slow discovery across the illustrated surfaces.

Inner Light is a Swiss artistic collective founded by Kim Coussée, Eliott Villars and Gaia Vincensini that works at the intersection of contemporary art, fashion and publishing. For this project they invited artist Lyna Azwaw to stage an edition inspired by documents and publications found in archives. The presentation includes performances and contributions by Js Donny, Rosalie Dubois and Leandro Russo.

Traces of Presence gathers artists whose practices examine what remains beyond immediate visibility. Roxana Bergt reworks still-life into vessels of memory and resilience; José Yaruro reinterprets classical forms; Marie Deforche paints quiet moments of solitude. Luca Mancone repurposes receipts and thermal paper; Eilena Braye converts microscopic structures into vivid abstraction; Justyna Maria Porowska and Didier Van der Borght negotiate geometry, surface and imagined silhouettes.

Fertile Hybridations explores the many forms of encounters and interweavings between humans, non-humans, knowledge systems, and temporalities.
Visitors are invited to inhabit the space, to question, to connect with these artist-researchers and designers, and—like them—to attempt to engage in dialogue and move beyond anthropocentrism, the idea that humans are at the center of everything. Instead, the exhibition encourages recognizing forms of intelligence or agency in other species, and building new relationships and exchanges.
Through this evolving exhibition, enriched by the intersection of art, design, and science, HiFlow becomes a living laboratory—a space for fertile alliances…
