Frank Martin’s Concerto for Seven Wind Instruments offers lucid, finely balanced polyphony where instrumental lines converse with clarity. Ravel’s writing turns more sensual in Le Tombeau de Couperin before the virtuosic brilliance of Tzigane closes the programme in a whirlwind of raw energy.
