Le Vivant qui se défend

Vincent Verzat documents a decade of ecological struggle with an intimate, immersive eye. After activist burnout he turns to naturalism and tracking, weaving personal testimony with field observation as he seeks to repopulate his daily life with non-human inhabitants. The film follows his search for balance between militant commitment and quiet contemplation, exploring vulnerability, interspecies entanglement and the ethics of care. Textured, observational cinematography and patient rhythms place us inside both landscape and inner life.
