Stitches: A Haunted House and Other Ghost Stories brings together textile-based works, installations and a film to explore the ghost as metaphor for what fabric makes perceptible about absence. Artists — including Serge Comte, Vidya Gastaldon, Ryan Gander, Meret Oppenheim, Latefa Wiersch and others — use stitched garments, draped fabrics and sculptural interventions to clothe the invisible, surfacing occluded histories, familial links and collective traumas. The exhibition examines how textile gestures evoke memory, spiritual belief and folkloric narrative.
Guided tour with Gabrielle Boder, curator of the exhibition.
