Designed for emerging professionals and recent graduates, this workshop explores puppetry through the creation of a short performance. Four to five young artists are supported through a guided process from idea to stage, with mentorship in direction, dramaturgy and construction. Participants develop a compact work presented at a public work-in-progress showcase. The programme also offers the chance to win a fully funded four-week training placement in 2027 at Odradek, near Toulouse.

El Warcha, a multidisciplinary participatory design collective founded by Benjamin Perrot, champions collaborative, street-facing workshops that involve local residents in the creative process. The group produces temporary urban furniture, public installations and events that foreground practical education and civic engagement. For this week of open workshops, textile practice is central: participants will draw, draft patterns and sew together to co-create a large collective textile installation that will transform the space and explore community, materiality and shared craftsmanship.
Nina Yargekov, a Franco‑Hungarian author and translator, is the author of the novel Double Nationalité. Her work deploys formal invention and a rare comic power to examine questions of memory, identity and social assignment through the perspective of an amnesic woman. In this session she discusses Double Nationalité and, more broadly, her work as a writer, exploring narrative technique, themes of belonging and language.

This workshop explores the traditional process of assembling a herbarium specimen, inspired by Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s collections. Participants learn scientific techniques for pressing and mounting dried plants on old paper, practice botanical labelling and nomenclature, and select specimens to create a personal herbarium sheet. The session examines preservation methods, identification principles and the historical context of Rousseau’s approach, combining practical skills with scientific insight to produce a lasting botanical object.

This interactive memory challenge invites participants to test their memory while exploring practical ways to preserve biodiversity based on Geneva’s municipal strategy. Players match “before-and-after” images that illustrate individual and institutional actions, and each correct pair reveals concise information explaining the measure. The activity examines themes such as habitat restoration, species-friendly practices, urban greening and policy responses, helping participants understand the impact and rationale behind everyday and organisational conservation choices.
Anne Pitteloud leads this writing workshop, focusing on ecological reflection and narrative practice. She guides participants to reconsider their relationship with living systems through attentive observation and imaginative exercises.
The session examines how shifting perspective can support more sustainable worlds by testing unexpected points of view. It explores themes of interdependence, ethics, and storytelling, offering practical prompts and techniques to generate new narratives and deepen ecological understanding.

Evelyne Brügger, a certified art therapist, leads the workshops with support from Joëlle Mauris, a professional cellist whose music accompanies one session per cycle.
The sessions explore creative practices to support women living with endometriosis, PMS or menstrual pain, addressing emotional expression, body awareness and coping strategies. Participants investigate materials and processes to rediscover inner resources, share experiences, and develop ways to express and regulate sensations through art and sound.
