Creating an Arcade Game

Free, booking required.

Join a video game creation workshop with Marion Bareil at the City Library. As the co-founder of Tourmaline Studio, Marion will guide you through developing an arcade game. Choose from various genres such as platform, action, adventure, pinball, or labyrinths. Arrange objects, obstacles, and enemies in your game, and then test it with fellow participants.

The Biopark is temporarily hosting Janus, a unique two-headed Greek tortoise, during the renovation of the Museum. Each head of this male tortoise has its own independent brain, which sometimes makes its movements challenging. ELLES brings together powerful contemporary Aboriginal women artists whose work bridges ancestral storytelling and modern abstraction. Featuring major figures such as Emily Kam Kngwarray and Mirdidingkingathi Juwarnda Sally Gabori, alongside artists from the Bérengère Primat Collection / Fondation Opale, the exhibition at the Musée Rath highlights symbolic, vibrant works rooted in land, memory, and spirituality. Between tradition and contemporary expression, these intimate visual cartographies celebrate the deep connection between culture, nature, and creation.

Isidore, a circus child forced to trade his nomadic life for a sedentary education, discovers the rigid rules of school and befriends Anaïs, a rebellious dreamer. Together they escape into a vivid adventure. Brought to life by three puppeteer-musicians, this energetic and poetic show explores, with humor and nuance, the shadows and lights of school and of learning to live.

Discover emotions through playful workshops using Kimochis, soft characters that help children name and share feelings. Create and sew your own Kimochi, listen to short stories, and practice gentle breathing and expressiveness. Activities mix hands-on making, bright fabrics, and soft sounds to encourage trust and communication. Children work in small age groups to explore feelings, build confidence, and practice speaking about emotions in a calm, caring space.

Friday 23 January, 11:00

Step into a gentle cinema where lights soften and sounds are low. Watch three short animated films made with drawings, puppets and a rare pin‑screen technique. Follow a curious bear, a shy mouse and a boy who meets mysterious forest creatures. Move between images, textures and quiet sounds as the stories unfold. Doors stay open and reactions are welcome, so you can laugh, whisper or step outside. Staff are nearby to help.
