This dynamic musical-theatrical piece is brought to life by director Daniel Kramer and conductor Titus Engel, featuring an impressive and diverse cast, including Robin Adams, Brenda Rae, and legendary guitarist Mike Keneally. Known for his iconic rock career, Zappa presents an experimental and psychedelic work that blends opera, rock, and contemporary classical music. “200 Motels” offers a chaotic and extravagant journey across the United States, mirroring the wild lives of Zappa and the Mothers of Invention.

Balades Théâtralisées invites audiences on an outdoor theatrical promenade that uncovers hidden city histories through staged scenes in natural settings. The troupe blends guided narration with short dramatic tableaux, favouring emotional resonance over strict historical reenactment. Soundscapes and simple lighting sculpt nocturnal and intimate atmospheres, while performers shift between storytelling and embodiment. The route alternates between the company’s traditional itinerary and a new underground-themed walk, creating a layered experience of memory, surprise and communal discovery.

Created by Atelier Théâtre Insolite in collaboration with autrement-aujourd’hui, this piece unfolds in the courtyard of an apartment block, where neighbors, caretakers and passersby form a delicate social choreography. Twelve actors and a tentative dancer weave scenes of repeated routine and sudden disruptions: a forgotten suitcase triggers a search across the faubourgs, conjuring encounters that blend theatre and dance. The staging favours intimate tableaux, subtle humour and moments of unexpected tenderness, inviting sensory attention to everyday life.

Cabaret en chantier is a laboratory for short puppet creations that treats making a puppet show like walking a tightrope while juggling. Balanced between text and image, between real and imaginary, between the animated and the inanimate, it demands writing, building and precise manipulation; every gesture and detail can tip the whole. This edition highlights emerging artists—students and career-changers—who receive institutional support to explore and reinvent puppet arts, presenting their first creations.

De-domestication is a ritual multimedia performance by Daniel Hellmann (Soya the Cow) and Rafa Bqueer (Uhura Bqueer) that stages two queer creatures — an Alpine cow and an Amazonian panther — confronting the global violences of monoculture, intensive farming and colonialism. With costumes by Andy Lopes, lighting and scenography by Theres Indermaur, video by Aron Smith and music by Eduardo Duarte and Coco Schwarz, the work blends poetry and provocation to explore rewilding, transformation and queer imaginaries.
