Apocalypses. What Did You See in Hiroshima? is a powerful exhibition curated by Nicolas Crispini, exploring the devastation and legacy of the atomic bombings through testimonies, photographs, films, objects, and soundscapes. To mark its 35th anniversary, Reporters Without Borders Switzerland is hosting the exhibition “Photographing the World of Tomorrow” at Uni Dufour. The exhibition highlights the work of 40 photojournalists, focusing on themes such as the environment, exile, and crises. Introduced at the True Story Festival in Bern, this global tribute captures the transformation of the world through images that reveal suffering, resilience, and hope, underscoring the vital role of independent journalism.

6 November – 19 December

The exhibition delves into the delicate and harmonious grace in 16th and 17th-century Flemish painting, examining how the masters of this period used color and intricate details to achieve this elusive quality. Grace, seen as a feminine attribute that favors delight over strength, suggests a balance between the soul and nature.

Opening during the Art en Vieille-Ville collective vernissage on Thursday, November 6, from 16:00 to 21:00.

Thursday 13 November, 19:30

This documentary pays tribute to Félix Vallotton on the centenary of his passing, delving into his significant influence on the early 20th-century European art scene. Known for his powerful lines, modern compositions, and keen societal insights, Vallotton was a versatile artist. Produced by Actua Films and UN FILM A LA PATTE, in collaboration with ARTE.tv and RTS, this 52-minute film provides a captivating exploration of a visionary artist’s world, as part of the “Rendez-vous avec Vallotton” after-work event.

The exhibition showcases nearly a hundred original editions by Rodolphe Töpffer, the pioneer of comics, including some signed copies. This event celebrates the release of a catalog dedicated to his work.

17 September – 17 November

The group exhibition DREAM UP, curated by Séverine Redon, features over 40 works by 23 artists. In a world facing crises, it seeks to reimagine our connections with life, matter, and time through the lens of dreaming. The artworks blend dream and wonder, reviving ancient and intuitive knowledge to offer an expanded consciousness. Here, dreaming becomes a gentle yet profound commitment, a gateway to other worlds.
