About the play
1942. France is under occupation. Seven friends gather to celebrate Sophie’s birthday—until two German officers are shot beneath their windows. Kaubach, a Nazi commander, forces the guests to make an unthinkable choice: to designate two hostages among themselves.
Thus begins a harrowing struggle for survival. By confronting the depths of human nature, the play invites us to question which side we would have chosen.

Two duos meet in an evening of intergenerational jazz dialogue. Alfio Origlio (piano), acclaimed for a vast discography, pairs with Swiss drummer Marc‑Olivier Savoy to move between jazz, classical references and spontaneous improvisation. The Klopfenstein brothers—Mattias (sax) and Pablo (p)—bring youthful energy and tight familial interplay. Together the programmes balance tradition and exploration, weaving lyrical saxophone lines, rhythmic openness and intimate dynamics that invite close listening and a sense of shared musical freedom.
