Everybody’s Perfect – Geneva International Queer Film Festival

The LGBTIQ+ film festival Everybody’s Perfect returns for its 12th edition at the Maison des Arts du Grütli in Geneva. Since its inception in 2010, it has celebrated LGBTIQ+ expressions from around the globe. In October, the festival offers ten days filled with film screenings, discussions, and meetings with local and international experts and partners. Beyond films, it features performances, exhibitions, workshops, music, and festive gatherings. Notable highlights include the appearance of Dag Johan Haugerud and the screening of “LLUEVE SOBRE BABEL.”

The Festival de Cinéma des Cinq Continents (F5C) is a 10-day cross-border festival celebrating global cinema, bringing together 20 international guests across six cinemas in France and Switzerland. Tailored for audiences over 14, this event promises 80 minutes of animated and poetic discoveries.

Claude Barras, the director of “Ma vie de Courgette,” unveils his second feature film in stop-motion at the 20th ANIMATOU FESTIVAL. This film tells the story of Kéria, who takes in a baby orangutan in Borneo while her cousin Selaï seeks refuge with them to escape conflict. Together, they join forces to protect the endangered rainforest, fighting against its planned destruction.

Saturday 4 October, 18:00

For its 20th edition, ANIMATOU presents a selection of 12 impactful animated short films. Enjoy free entry and a 90-minute program suitable for ages 14 and up.

Sunday 5 October, 16:00

The MEG and the Cinémas d’Afrique Lausanne Festival present a film series titled “Afrosonica – Soundscapes.” This program, designed for adults, children, and teenagers, features original and musical short films exploring themes like nature, pollution, and sustainability. The lineup includes “Kwetu Kwanza” by Noah Grothe and Devis Ahimbisibwe, “Libende Boyz” by Wendy Bashi, and “Les Divas du Taguerabt” by Karim Moussaoui. The screening is free and operates on a first-come, first-served basis.

29 September – 15 December

The Ciné-Club Universitaire, a long-standing institution at UNIGE founded in 1951, launches its Autumn 2025 cycle dedicated to Dance in Cinema. This eclectic program moves beyond musicals to include drama, psychological thrillers, and documentaries, offering reflections on the body, identity, and artistic expression on screen. Open to all, each session invites viewers to experience dance as both a transformative force and a narrative tool.
