Camille Lacroix, a visual artist and performer, presents a performance that delves into the concept of beauty through the lenses of philosophy, art, psychology, and poetry. This intricate and respectful exploration, carefully avoiding a crass exposition of beauty’s mysteries, is split into two segments: a lecture and a workshop. Participants are guided through enigmatic knowledge, possibly glimpsing the essence of beauty and uncovering the conditions of its emergence.

LACRIMA by Caroline Guiela Nguyen follows the journey of a dress commissioned for a royal wedding, exploring the workshops and artisans involved, from Paris to Mumbai and Alençon. The production blends languages, video, movement, and both professional and non-professional performers to create a powerful reflection on skill transmission, the global division of labor, and dedication to craft.

2 – 19 October

Eugène Ionesco’s “The Bald Soprano” is a quintessential work of absurdist theater, depicting the nonsensical and tedious interactions between two couples, the Smiths and the Martins. The arrival of the Fire Chief and the maid Marie sparks surreal situations and unexpected outbursts, before the Smiths dismiss the unlikely visitors and return to their original monotony. This production, directed by Cyril Kaiser, features puppets by Christophe Kiss alongside actors Vincent Babel, Nicole Bachmann, Blaise Granget, and Vanessa Battistini.

This performance is part of the Scène Vagabonde Festival.
