Discovering Brass

Join a hands-on workshop at the City Library, in collaboration with Victoria Hall, where you’ll discover brass instruments with the musicians of the Fanfare du Losange. Participants will have the chance to observe, listen, and even try out these instruments. It’s a fun and accessible opportunity to explore the breath, movement, and vibrations of brass instruments ahead of the Sunday Concert at Victoria Hall.

From December 5 to 6, 2025, just before the holiday season, the Conservatoire Populaire of Music, Dance and Theatre invites you to the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices (BFM) in Geneva for its grand biennial dance show. Across three exceptional performances, audiences will experience a rich choreographic journey blending poetry, energy, and artistic diversity—from classical and contemporary to modern jazz. The Biopark is temporarily hosting Janus, a unique two-headed Greek tortoise, during the renovation of the Museum. Each head of this male tortoise has its own independent brain, which sometimes makes its movements challenging. In captivity, Janus receives attentive care, resulting in an impressive lifespan of 26 years.

The Breloque Theater Group invites the very young on a joyful, multisensory journey combining theatre, music, painting, and mime. On stage, a painter, a virtuoso musician, and a brilliant mime reveal a man’s life in reverse, without a single word, uncovering hidden surprises under layers of paint. With playful, absurd, and heartwarming moments, this 45-minute performance is a celebration of creativity, wonder, and pure delight for audiences of all ages.

Suitable for non-French speakers.  Ages 3 and up.

Florence Widmer Garcia from Superpapier invites participants to a playful and creative workshop at the Cité Library, where both children and adults can craft movable characters and animals using recycled paper. Set against a backdrop inspired by an animated film, this activity is connected to the exhibition “Sauvages: Behind the Scenes of Claude Barras’ Film.”

Kids ages 6 and up.

The Christmas Circus at Plainpalais captivates Geneva families with a show that seamlessly integrates tradition and innovation. Founded in 1992 by the Van Gool family, this time-honored institution, passed down through generations, continues to deliver magical and unforgettable moments for audiences of all ages under its big top.

Immerse yourself in a fantastical Belle Époque Geneva through an improvised show inspired by Pierre Pevel’s world. Amidst the sirens of the Rhône, water nymphs guarding the iconic jet d’eau, and wise oaks of the English Garden, wizards and enchantresses investigate a string of mysterious crimes.
