Vincent Thévenaz, the principal organist of Geneva’s Cathedral, will present an organ recital as a tribute to François Delor, the former organist who recently passed away. This concert marks the final performance before the restoration work on the grand Metzler organ and will feature Delor’s “Twelve Noëls,” promising a cheerful and festive musical experience.

Villa Dutoit is hosting a jazz concert featuring Michel Bastet on piano, Yann Emery on double bass, and Andrew Flückiger on drums, in conjunction with a retrospective exhibition dedicated to Madeleine Spierer. Formed after the first lockdown in 2020, the trio performs original compositions alongside pieces by jazz greats such as Bill Evans and John Taylor, aiming to convey a sense of attentive listening, simplicity, and emotion.

“To Hell with War!” is a satirical parody of “Ubu Roi” by the Studio d’Action Théâtrale, under the direction of Gabriel Alvarez. Drawing inspiration from Jarry, the performance condemns war as a grotesque and tragic charade. Actors portray absurd characters that lay bare the senselessness and brutality of conflict, staging a macabre dance against destructive capitalism.
