Anne Paceo, a gifted composer and drummer, kicks off the Spectacles Onésiens season with her new album, Atlantis. Inspired by oceans and seas, this musical tale promises a poetic and moving journey filled with serenity and dreams. Supported by the Migros Pour-cent culturel Genève, this performance is a highlight of the JazzContreBand festival.
Les Inoubliables festival in Geneva shines a spotlight on women composers past and present, from classical to jazz, through an eclectic programme of concerts, screenings, masterclasses, cine-concerts, round tables, and workshops for all audiences. It also carries out long-term initiatives such as residencies, score publications, and outreach activities, helping preserve and promote this rich female musical heritage.
Eugène Ionesco’s “The Bald Soprano” is a quintessential work of absurdist theater, depicting the nonsensical and tedious interactions between two couples, the Smiths and the Martins. The arrival of the Fire Chief and the maid Marie sparks surreal situations and unexpected outbursts, before the Smiths dismiss the unlikely visitors and return to their original monotony. This production, directed by Cyril Kaiser, features puppets by Christophe Kiss alongside actors Vincent Babel, Nicole Bachmann, Blaise Granget, and Vanessa Battistini.

In “L’Aquarium,” Calaferte delves into the monotony and routine of a couple after many years together. Set during a fall evening, this comedy highlights how former passionate partners become unable to surprise each other, trapped in their daily lives much like fish swimming in circles in an aquarium. The humor emerges from everyday situations, skillfully captured by the author.
