Every Saturday, Samedis Jazz brings the Maison des Arts du Grütli to life with live jazz performances at the Café Restaurant du Grütli. It’s an inviting weekly rendezvous where music lovers can unwind, enjoy great food, and let the smooth sounds set the tone for the weekend.
N.B. Exceptionally, during the second weekend of April, the jazz concert will take place on Sunday 13 April, instead of Saturday, as part of the Fête de la Terrasse.
A tribute to Grisélidis Réal is sensitively presented by her son, Igor Schimek, alongside singer Aline Chappuis. Grisélidis’ poetry, crafted from a young age, is a work of remarkable intensity and beauty, shaped by a life filled with extreme experiences such as time in a sanatorium, destructive relationships, imprisonment, and prostitution.
In Geneva for 5 weeks, the Cirque du Soleil’s Kurios transforms the stage into a fantastical steampunk world where a curious inventor’s imagination takes flight. Daring acrobats, contortionists, and whimsical characters bring his chaotic cabinet of curiosities to life in a poetic, high-energy spectacle that celebrates wonder and possibility.

Featuring a cast of over 30 local performers, live music, and edgy choreography, this high-energy production reimagines the iconic story of Jesus’ final days with raw emotion and electric power. Founded in 2018 by Vuma Levin and Théo Duboule, In Motion delves into a distinctive stylistic blend, drawing inspiration from Nguni-Sotho rhythms, 16th-century madrigals, pop-rock, and improvisational music. The ensemble, featuring guitarists, a trumpeter, a drummer, a bassist, and a percussionist, offers a vibrant and imaginative repertoire that truly embodies its name.
“A Star is Borgne” is a wild, satirical comedy on the film industry. When the director absconds with the funds, aspiring actresses auditioning for parts agree to participate in a pseudo ‘making-of’ segment for a portion of the film, working both in front of and behind the camera. They also find themselves standing in for the leading actress in a revealing scene, creating a tongue-in-cheek but affectionate portrayal of the film world and its occasionally artificial glamour.
