Explore over 300 species of alpine plants cultivated in the Botanical Garden. Within the rock garden nursery, our gardeners propagate these plants, and our horticulturist will guide you through this unique setting with archival and contemporary photographs. It’s an opportunity to discuss the cultivation of alpine plants, the substrates used, and the impact of climate change on alpine flora.

Olivier Varenne presents a new group exhibition featuring works by major modern and contemporary artists, including John Armleder, Jean Dubuffet, Chiharu Shiota, and Dana Schutz. The show explores the intersections of materiality, gesture, and perception through a wide range of artistic approaches, creating a dynamic dialogue across generations and disciplines.

A photographic installation in Parc des Bastions celebrates the dramatic relocation of animals from the Natural History Museum in Bastions to Malagnou in 1965. Organized by the Museum and the Geneva Library, this exhibition provides a deep dive into the Museum’s former home, showcasing images of the transfer of various specimens.

The Barbier-Mueller Museum presents “Échos,” an exhibition where photographer Jean-Baptiste Huynh explores the museum’s works through his artistic lens. This sensitive and aesthetic approach encourages reflection on universal themes such as birth, life, aging, and death.

22 May – 30 November

Delve into biodiversity and reflect on our role in its preservation within the heart of the garden. This journey, enhanced by Geneva’s Municipal Biodiversity Strategy, features brief texts displayed on veils designed to educate the public. The program also includes discussion walks, a memory game, and a series of podcasts focused on biodiversity.
