The Pachamama Connexion Festival returns for its 6th edition at Parc Marignac in Lancy. This vibrant music and cultural festival showcases a fusion of hip-hop, reggae, Afro-Caribbean, Latin, and Dancehall sounds, featuring both international and emerging artists. Beyond the concerts, it offers a sensory journey through diverse cultures with a craft market, culinary experiences, a kids’ area, artistic performances, and a lively, family-friendly atmosphere.
Cappella Pratensis, an ensemble founded in 1987, specializes in the polyphony of the 15th and 16th centuries, focusing on the music of Josquin Desprez. By recreating the musical conditions of the Renaissance, the singers gather around a large lectern, using facsimiles of original sources. Their performances highlight Gregorian chant as the foundation of polyphony, emphasizing a flexible melody, the modal system, and the influence of language. The concert will be preceded by a discussion with Peter de Laurentis.

Mai au Parc is a must-attend free festival in Geneva, located along the Aïre between Lancy and Geneva. This event delivers a vibrant musical lineup featuring both local and international artists, alongside children’s activities over three days. Friday and Saturday are devoted to musical evenings showcasing diverse genres such as pop rock, soul, and hip-hop. Sunday afternoon focuses on family-friendly activities and includes a Malian blues concert.
Dance Area’s students take the stage in This Is Me, a showcase of their passion and progress in dance. This performance highlights the dedication and talent cultivated within the school, offering audiences an opportunity to witness the culmination of their hard work.

Under the direction of Sébastien Daucé, the ensemble Correspondances pays tribute to Notre Dame de Paris with works by Campra, Veillot, Lalouette, Cosset, and Robert. Specializing in 17th-century French music, the ensemble combines historical accuracy with contemporary emotion. Their work involves the revival of previously unheard compositions and grand reconstructions, such as the Coronation of Louis XIV. Since its founding in 2009, Correspondances has become a key reference point, performing both in France and internationally, and is in residence at the Théâtre de Caen.
Dogora, composed by Étienne Perruchon, is a unifying musical work written in an imaginary language, Dogorien, transcending linguistic barriers. Caritas Genève has embraced this project as a symbol of overcoming communication challenges faced in its refugee housing programs. Under the direction of Martial Renard, the performance will bring together 300 artists, including choirs and soprano Claire Michel de Haas, with a mixed Caritas ensemble of hosts and refugees singing together in a shared language of music. Proceeds will support refugee housing and legal aid initiatives.
