Summer Special: an Object, a Sound, a Story: Meeting with Bisha, the Blue Goat

As part of the “Partir en livres” program, a family visit will explore the rich collections of the MEG (Museum of Ethnography), focusing on the theme “Animals and us.” The Topino family and their travelling circus, guided by Bisha, the blue goat, will be introduced. The visit includes a look at the three-stringed fiddle in the permanent exhibition, followed by a discovery of Bisha’s story in the library’s music room. The experience concludes with a song by the band Aksak.

The FMAC is hosting Godzillab for a two-week creative workshop series tailored for kids.  Led by Estelle Germain, Fred Fivaz, and Kleio Obergfell-Thomaïdes, children will have the opportunity to design and craft giant monster posters for the FMAC’s exterior or create 3D dioramas inspired by extraordinary tales.

Dialogues insolites (Unusual Dialogues) is a city-wide exhibition featuring small installations that explore unexpected connections between different collections, offering new perspectives on the world. This temporary exhibition, part of the closure of Geneva’s Natural History Museum, reveals surprising correlations across various disciplines.

The exhibition is hosted in several locations:

  • Bibliothèque de la Cité – Le Multi: 12.10.24 to 21.06.25, Tues-Fri 10:00-19:00, Sat 10:00-17:00
  • CERN – Science Gateway: 26.10.24 to 02.03.25, Tues-Sun 09:00-17:00
  • Museum of the History of Science: 31.01.24 to 30.11.25, Daily 10:00-17:00 (closed Tuesdays)
  • Conservatory and Botanical Gardens: 21.03.24 to 29.06.25

These installations offer a unique opportunity to discover and reflect on the hidden connections between science, nature, and history.

The exhibition “Exoplanets – Science & Fiction” aims to reimagine how we view exoplanets by blending contemporary science with artistic creativity. This unique presentation is the result of a collaboration between astronomers from the University of Geneva and comic book artists, merging scientific discoveries with doses of science fiction, fantasy, and poetry. The exhibition is designed to captivate and emotionally engage visitors, making the visuals more thought-provoking and intriguing.

8 May – 13 September

The Polomarco Gallery presents “Street Scripts,” its inaugural exhibition dedicated to urban art, featuring artists L’Atlas and Rafael Sliks. This visual dialogue delves into urban calligraphy transformed into sensory shapes and messages. L’Atlas, a Parisian trained in calligraphy in Morocco and Egypt, merges geometric abstraction with scriptural traditions to craft optical and enigmatic works. Rafael Sliks, hailing from São Paulo, blends graffiti and abstract style, inspired by urban chaos and nature, turning writing into a form of visual expression and escape.
