What Connects Us brings together Susanna Bauer, Michele Landel and Hannah Schmider in a collective exhibition that examines encounters between nature, memory and craft. Delicate crochet, embroidered photographs on reclaimed bed linens and figurative wooden sculptures form a quiet vocabulary that probes human–animal relationships and domestic ecologies. Humanitarian, by Design? explores the often-overlooked role of design in humanitarian action, from objects and emergency shelters to maps, images and digital technologies. Bringing together nearly 200 objects—most presented to the public for the first time—the exhibition examines how design shapes the way crises are experienced, managed and represented. Across three perspectives—objects, spaces and imaginaries—it reveals both the creative potential and the tensions embedded in humanitarian design. A multidisciplinary exhibition that questions how design can support care, dignity and resilience in times of crisis.

Dany Gignoux (photographer) and poet Georges Haldas present a compelling dialogue between documentary photography and lyrical prose. The exhibition brings together photographs and written fragments that register everyday life in Geneva’s cafés, combining on-the-spot reportage with memory-infused “prose inspirée.” Through intimate black-and-white images and spare, evocative texts the works transfigure mundane scenes into poetic testimony, revealing social undercurrents and human tenderness. Archival materials frame this historic encounter between two generations of cultural chroniclers.
