“The Narrative” explores the contested story behind the Kweku Adoboli affair, scrutinising the financial and judicial mechanisms that shaped public perception. Co-directed by Bernard Weber, the film blends investigative rigor with cinematic clarity, combining archival material, interviews and cinematic reconstruction to unpack claims of criminal responsibility. It probes institutional power, accountability and the politics of narrative, delivering a measured, suspenseful tone that foregrounds evidence over spectacle while illuminating the human stakes behind high‑finance scandal.
The screening will be followed by a discussion with Bernard Weber (co-director) and Marc Chesney (Professor Emeritus of Mathematical Finance, University of Zurich), moderated by Caroline Dommen (Director of the International Association for Feminist Economics and APRÈS-GE committee member).
