The Martin Bodmer Foundation, in collaboration with the Conservatoire and Botanical Garden of Geneva and the Bains des Pâquis, presents “Verts d’eaux – Aquatic Plants from Near and Far.” This summer exhibition is dedicated to the diverse world of aquatic plants found in rivers, lakes, seas, and oceans. Combining botanical wonder, artistic interpretation, and scientific inquiry, the exhibition highlights the relationship between aquatic plants and Geneva’s landscape, as well as their portrayal in both literary and religious texts. Curated by Nicolas Ducimetière and Pierre Boillat, with artistic direction by Yoann Givry, visitors are invited to enjoy an enlightening stroll.

The Artists Against the Bomb exhibition at Parc des Bastions brings together over 30 international artists and collectives, including Pussy Riot, Guerrilla Girls, and Thomas Hirschhorn, to contemplate the legacy of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and advocate for a world free from nuclear weapons. The event is organized by Estudio Pedro Reyes and ICAN.

A group exhibition delves into the complex and paradoxical relationship between humans and plants. Acting as indicators of climate change, pharmaceutical resources, or fashion items, plants are laden with diverse cultural meanings. Through documentary, speculative, or experimental works, the artists investigate the status of plants—whether decorative, invasive, or medicinal. The exhibition unravels the myriad representations and values of plants in today’s society, featuring contributions from various artists and institutions like the Conservatory and Botanical Garden of Geneva.
