The Quartier des Bains invites you to a vibrant evening of contemporary art with its Summer Nocturne. Galleries and art spaces across the neighborhood open their doors after hours, offering a unique chance to explore current exhibitions, meet artists, and experience Geneva’s cultural pulse in a lively, welcoming atmosphere.
The exhibition “Songs for Lake Geneva” showcases forty songs inspired by the lake. You can listen to and view eleven of these songs, illustrated by Cyrille Chatelain and performed by contemporary artists like Aliose and Jérémie Kisling. The remaining twenty-nine songs are presented in their original versions.
“Tuning in – The Acoustics of Emotion” is an exhibition that delves into the connections between sound, voice, heritage, and humanitarian action. Utilizing sound archives and collections from the International Committee of the Red Cross, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, and the International Museum of the Red Cross and Red Crescent, the exhibition explores which voices we preserve, their significance, and the role of music in humanitarian efforts. It features soundtracks, historical recordings, posters, photographs, prisoners’ objects, and artworks both historical and contemporary.
The Baur Foundation highlights the magnificent lacquers from the Virginia and Edward Chow donation with an exhibition at the museum. Showcasing twelve rare pieces from the Ming and Qing dynasties, the collection includes intricately decorated boxes, dishes, and other precious items adorned with engravings or mother-of-pearl inlays. The event kicks off with a lecture by Helen Loveday, who delves into the splendor of these Chinese treasures.
Delve into biodiversity and reflect on our role in its preservation within the heart of the garden. This journey, enhanced by Geneva’s Municipal Biodiversity Strategy, features brief texts displayed on veils designed to educate the public. The program also includes discussion walks, a memory game, and a series of podcasts focused on biodiversity.
The exhibition “L’herbier de la mémoire” at Espace Muraille showcases the creative works of Laura De Bernardi, Gergana Mantscheva, and Laura Sánchez Filomeno. The artists delve into themes of memory, identity, and nature using botanical specimens, embroidered roots, and painted plants, reimagining the herbarium as both a poetic and archival gesture. Their pieces interact with each other and the exhibition space, providing insight into cultural memory, individual expression, and the symbolism inherent in the plant world.

Experience a concert where voices, rhythms, collective creation, and stage presence intertwine to deliver a sensitive and vibrant experience. The young artists, fueled by the group’s dynamic energy, will offer a generous performance that blends improvisation with original compositions.
