Photographer, curator and publisher Ni Liang presents a selection of 50 photobook dummies from the 6th and 7th Imageless Dummy Photobooks Awards, highlighting contemporary Chinese photographic practice.
The exhibition foregrounds photobooks as a medium: dummies, zines and printed prototypes that articulate narrative, sequence and material experiment. Themes include identity, diaspora and editorial self‑determination, while the works reveal diverse approaches to image-making, DIY publishing and the expanding possibilities of print. The project reflects Imageless’s commitment to increasing visibility for Chinese photographers.
