The MEG invites you to explore the immersive exhibition “Afrosonica-Soundscapes,” celebrating the rich music traditions of Africa and its diaspora. Following the official speeches, guests can enjoy a reception and a set by the co-curators Madeleine Leclair and Mo Laudi, with the evening culminating in a DJ performance by Mother Dubber & Ras Mali. Both the exhibition and the café will stay open throughout the night.
Through historical and contemporary perspectives, the exhibition highlights the power of sound as a bridge between memory, identity, and transformation. Featuring a diverse collection of instruments, archival recordings, and contemporary installations, the exhibition invites visitors on a multisensory journey where music connects the past and present, the human and the spiritual.
