Joséphine de Weck moderates a conversation with Muriel Mayette‑Holtz and Gilles Privat, two leading figures of contemporary French theatre. Mayette‑Holtz, actress and director and former general administrator of the Comédie‑Française, now heads the CDN de Nice. Privat, trained at École Jacques Lecoq, is an award‑winning actor (Molière 2008; Syndicat de la Critique 2023). They discuss their work on Le Tartuffe, character interpretation, directing choices and the craft of acting.

Director and scenographer Fabrizio Montecchi, former director of Gioco Vita and coordinator of the Animateria programme, leads a professional workshop investigating shadow theatre as a fully-fledged artistic language. The sessions begin with technical and dramaturgical fundamentals, then invite participants to develop original sequences that prioritise sensitivity and poetic imagery. The programme emphasises practical experimentation, spatial composition and narrative invention, aiming to expand participants’ expressive vocabulary.

The conference delves into the use of wax models in 19th-century medical sciences, focusing on dermatology. Dr. Sophie Delpeux, an expert in the history of body representation, will revisit the scientific, aesthetic, and political motivations that drove the creation and collection of these wax models, highlighting the remarkable collection at Saint-Louis Hospital. She will also share insights from her experience in Geneva, where she collaborated with the Museum of History of Science.
