Carlo D’Anselmi presents paintings that emerge from imagination, assembling figures, animals and landscapes into dreamlike compositions defined by colour, textured surfaces and a quietly emotive atmosphere. The exhibition considers painting as a silent language that unfolds through attention, light and time, while mountains assert themselves through scale and presence. Developed during the artist’s first stay in Switzerland overlooking the French Alps, the works respond to shifting rhythms and seasonal transformations in the landscape.

5 June – 4 July

Artist Lou Cohen presents a body of work that dialogues between still and moving images. Working with dry pastel, oil paint and short films, she stages interactions within the same installation, confronting static representation with motion. Her practice employs irony and darkly comic tones to translate everyday reality and prompt critical reflection. The works explore perception, narrative tension and the theatrical potential of materials, inviting careful viewing and reconsideration of what images can reveal.

Opening: Thursday 4 June, 18:00 (Salle Crosnier)

Meeting with the artist: Thursday 25 June, 18:00 (Salle Crosnier)

30 May – 27 September

This exhibition explores the careers of Édouard Naville, Switzerland’s pioneering Egyptologist, and his wife Marguerite Naville, whose contributions alongside him are now recognised in their own right. Through archival documents, excavation records and pharaonic objects, the presentation illuminates their archaeological practice and Marguerite’s role, while situating their work within the political, religious and humanitarian commitments that shaped scholarly life at the turn of the twentieth century.

In French and in English.

30 May – 13 June

Students from the schools of Meyrin-Village, Bellavista, Champs-Fréchets, Boudines, De-Livron and Cointrin present collective visual work created for the 30th anniversary of the forum. Inspired by Nicolas Faure’s 1995 portrait series Meyrin, citoyens du monde, the works revisit civic identity through portraits, self-portraits and imagined futures. Guided by visual-arts teachers, roughly six hundred pupils contribute a wide range of approaches and materials that explore memory, community and the evolution of the cité.

10 – 26 June

Students from La Grande Boissière present a collective exhibition of visual art responding to the life and work of Chu Teh‑Chun. Through paintings, drawings and mixed‑media pieces, the show examines perseverance, multicultural influences and the role of self‑reflection in artistic practice. Works offer personal interpretations and visual languages that articulate each student’s perspective on form, colour and memory. A jury selects outstanding pieces and the overall winner receives an artist residency.

Opening and Prize Award Ceremony on Wednesday 10 June at 17:00.
