Marthe Krummenacher, laureate of the Swiss Dance Prize 2017 and founder of Burning Feet, is a Geneva-based performer trained at NDT2. Adrián Cia is a tango dancer and musician with over twenty years of practice and research into tango history.
This practical session opens with a Borges–Piazzolla tango and brief references to lyrics and composition, then guides participants through improvised tango practice. It examines how improvisation cultivates concentration, body awareness, listening and spatial perception, and considers tango as a method for learning and personal development, revealing the latent knowledge of the body.
