Autour du temps

The “Autour du temps” event returns for its third edition at the Fondation ForPro. Over three days, attendees can explore watchmaking factories, independent workshops, and subcontractors. There will also be introductory workshops and a watch exhibition. This event offers a diverse and inclusive program for all.

Spend a day at the museum dedicated to contemplating and responding to the climate crisis. The MEG offers a range of activities focused on how our daily actions affect the environment, in collaboration with experts and artists. The program features instrument-making workshops, discussions on the sustainability of music, an environmentally-themed reading area, and a film screening.

Join artist and seamstress Kun Guo at the museum for a fabric pouch-making workshop. Discover how to craft a small drawstring pouch, perfect for repurposing your fabric scraps.

Join a conversation within the temporary exhibition on music and sustainability. This discussion will tackle the environmental impact of musical practices from the perspectives of both listeners and artists, exploring ways to produce and consume music sustainably. We will also contemplate how we might experience music in the year 2080. This event is part of a monthly series that addresses environmental issues through the unique lens of the MEG.

The mini reading club invites families to unwind and connect through stories, adventures, and discoveries. Each session features engaging tales followed by exciting activities.  Sessions last 1.5 hours.

In French.  Kids ages 6 and up.

23 April – 16 July

Join an evening drawing class at the museum led by artist Leyla Goormaghtigh. Explore the galleries and rediscover the permanent collections while benefiting from her guidance and exercises. This activity is open to adults and teens.
