Located in the Grottes area behind the train station, the Université Ouvrière de Genève (UOG) is a recognized non-profit organization committed to education and integration.
The UOG organizes courses, workshops, and conferences aimed at supporting adults, particularly those with limited qualifications, in their social, cultural, and professional integration.
Photographer, architect and traveller Roland Meige presents a photographic series documenting the culture and vernacular architecture of Yemen before the destructive conflicts of the 2000s. Through documentary images of urban settlements, towers and domestic structures, the works evoke traditional building techniques, resourceful adaptation to climate and the social fabric of communities. The project records fragile heritage at risk, asking what is lost when violence and internationalized warfare transform landscapes and erase material histories.
