This lecture examines the design and decoration of an emblematic 19th-century Geneva Villa Bartholoni, exploring Felix Emmanuel Callet’s Italianate influence, his study trip to Italy, and how painted finishes articulate social and aesthetic values in resort architecture. The session concludes with a tango milonga, connecting architectural history to living cultural practice.
