Nestled within the picturesque Ariana Park in the Nations area, The Palais des Nations is the home of The United Nations Office at Geneva. This historic building, once the headquarters of the League of Nations, serves as a symbol of global cooperation and diplomacy. Guided tours offer visitors insights into the organization’s efforts to maintain world peace, foster international relations, and promote sustainable development. Additionally, the Palais des Nations occasionally organises and hosts diverse events such as art exhibitions, musical concerts, panel discussions, and movie screenings.
The Territoire Nations project continues its series of meetings examining how international organisations are embedded in the surrounding territory. This session brings together practitioners and civil society to investigate places, archives and infrastructures that shape relations between diplomacy, urban space and neighbourhoods. Presentations and an installation by Serge Boulaz explore evolving mobilities and infrastructural transformations, including projects such as the Tram des Nations and the Tunnel du Reposoir. The event focuses on critical inquiry and collective reflection.
