Located in a grand neo-classical building in Parc des Bastions, the Bibliothèque de Genève is the University of Geneva library. The lecture examines how ancient books often survive as reused fragments within other bindings, and how digital publication and analysis reveal their biographies. Duba explores methodologies for tracing the production, circulation and loss of texts, highlighting what fragments disclose about past reading and preservation practices.
