Pop Art: Warhol, Koons and Hockney

Leonor Cuahonte, PhD in art history from the Sorbonne, is a specialist in modern and contemporary Mexican architecture, a curator and independent researcher who has taught art history since 2013.

This lecture examines the Pop Art movement through the work of Warhol, Koons and Hockney, exploring how they challenged artistic conventions and transformed popular imagery into cultural icons. It surveys key themes, techniques and the movement’s impact on contemporary visual culture.
