Renowned Italian writer Dacia Maraini presents reflections from her latest book, Scritture segrete, tracing the women writers who shaped her imagination. This interactive memory challenge invites participants to test their memory while exploring practical ways to preserve biodiversity based on Geneva’s municipal strategy. Players match “before-and-after” images that illustrate individual and institutional actions, and each correct pair reveals concise information explaining the measure. The activity examines themes such as habitat restoration, species-friendly practices, urban greening and policy responses, helping participants understand the impact and rationale behind everyday and organisational conservation choices.

Organised by the Grand Théâtre de Genève, Bibliopéra presents a series of workshop-lectures that invite close listening and critical reflection on the operatic repertoire. Each session, led by artists and specialists (pianist, singer, musicologists), explores a focused theme or work: discovery of bel canto and Rossini’s L’Italiana in Algeri; an exploration of baroque repertoire (Castor & Pollux); a creative writing workshop inspired by L’Empereur Atlantis; and a critical discussion of Puccini’s Madame Butterfly. The format mixes performance, analysis and hands-on activity to deepen understanding of style, history and interpretation.
