La voix de la pierre

On the occasion of the release of his monograph La voix de la pierre (Éditions Slatkine, 2026), Jo Fontaine is featured in a dual exhibition presented by Galerie Marianne Brand and Galerie LIGNE treize in Carouge. The show presents a selection of his sculptures that bear witness to half a century of artistic research and commitment, where stone reveals its millennia-old memory through refined and symbolic forms.

Artist talks will take place on Saturdays, March 14, 21, and 28, offering an immersive journey into his meditative universe, rooted between intimacy and transcendence.

The vernissage will be held on Saturday, March 7 at 11:00 at the Théâtre de Carouge, with the official book presentation followed by an aperitif.

Morpho is the first photographic exhibition by Lamine Jammeh (Lemz.O) that honors dancers who assert their identities beyond appearance. Through staged portraits and a sensitive visual language, Jammeh explores themes of identity, embodiment and performative selfhood. The series celebrates diversity, courage and the expressive power of movement, presenting intimate, high-contrast images that foreground presence and gesture. The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum presents the Prix Art Humanité, featuring works by five HEAD – Genève alumni exploring themes of sharing, engagement, and humanity. The exhibition also includes the first International Prize, by Lebanese artist Mohamad Khamis. Visitors can vote for their favourite project, with the Public Prize awarded during the ceremony.

The exhibition delves into the realism, drama, and emotional intensity of 17th-century Dutch artists influenced by Caravaggio. The works of Gerrit van Honthorst and Judith Leyster exemplify the bold use of light and shadow to capture everyday life with theatrical intensity. Their contributions left a significant impact on the art of the era, paving the way for new expressions of the human condition.

Opening during the Art en Vieille-Ville collective vernissage on Thursday, November 6, from 16:00 to 21:00.

Curated by Matthias Sohr, Reserved for Groups brings together works by Florian Fouché, Mélody Lu, Xavier Robles de Medina, Orawan Arunrak, Florian Bonny, Stefania Carlotti, Chloé Delarue, Jean-Ulrick Désert, Marina Faust, Anne Duk Hee Jordan, Thomas Liu Le Lann, Pedro Marrero Fuenmayor, Lili Reynaud-Dewar, Kyung Roh Bannwart, Philipp Timischl, Ernie Wang, and Lauryn Youden. The exhibition explores subtle interventions within existing social and artistic contexts, presenting the artists’ work while making the gallery space more accessible.

ELLES brings together powerful contemporary Aboriginal women artists whose work bridges ancestral storytelling and modern abstraction. Featuring major figures such as Emily Kam Kngwarray and Mirdidingkingathi Juwarnda Sally Gabori, alongside artists from the Bérengère Primat Collection / Fondation Opale, the exhibition at the Musée Rath highlights symbolic, vibrant works rooted in land, memory, and spirituality. Between tradition and contemporary expression, these intimate visual cartographies celebrate the deep connection between culture, nature, and creation.
