The exhibition Le Chalet examines the imaginary of the Swiss chalet and the craft practices that shape these vernacular houses. Centering on wood, the display combines a reconstructed chalet, craft demonstrations, photography, folkloric objects and new works by contemporary artists. It highlights traditional and proto‑industrial woodworking techniques from the Geneva region, investigating material skill, domestic rituals and the social histories embedded in timber construction.
