For his first solo exhibition in Geneva, Gregor Hildebrandt transforms Galerie Mezzanin into a poetic space of memory and transformation. Using materials such as magnetic tape, vinyl records, and audio cassettes, he reinterprets the physical traces of the analog world, turning familiar forms into sculptural and pictorial works. His installations evoke themes of transfer, nostalgia, and the fragility of memory, reminding us that remembrance once had a tangible medium. Balancing irony and reverence, Hildebrandt questions the role of the artist in an age dominated by digital reproduction, suggesting that art now resides not in direct representation of reality, but in the layered density of collective memory and desire.

Convergent Lines at Galerie L’Appartement showcases a dynamic blend of expressive canvases by Mariana Oushiro alongside pieces by Jojo Corväiá, Maarten Vrolijk, and Marius Ritiu. This exhibition delves into the crossroads of art, sculpture, and design, emphasizing the role of materials, processes, and architectural influences. Marius Ritiu’s monumental sculptures, Jojo Corväiá’s meditative ceramics, and Maarten Vrolijk’s delicate lighting fixtures and vases engage in a dialogue with Mariana Oushiro’s gestural and geometric paintings. Together, these works create a choreography of contrasts, balancing heaviness and lightness, permanence and movement, structure and spontaneity.
The exhibition showcases nearly a hundred original editions by Rodolphe Töpffer, the pioneer of comics, including some signed copies. This event celebrates the release of a catalog dedicated to his work.
Opening during the Art en Vieille-Ville collective vernissage on Thursday, November 6, from 16:00 to 21:00.
