As part of the exhibition Angélica Serech – Pach’un Q’ijul, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum presents Mapping My Way to Borderless Echoes, the first in a three-part series exploring memory, resilience, and humanity. Artists Ishita Chakraborty and Nina Emge engage in a performative dialogue with each other, with Serech’s works, and with the audience, offering a powerful reflection on personal and collective memory and the humanitarian values at the heart of the exhibition.

Delve into biodiversity and reflect on our role in its preservation within the heart of the garden. This journey, enhanced by Geneva’s Municipal Biodiversity Strategy, features brief texts displayed on veils designed to educate the public. The program also includes discussion walks, a memory game, and a series of podcasts focused on biodiversity.

For his first solo exhibition in Geneva, Gregor Hildebrandt transforms Galerie Mezzanin into a poetic space of memory and transformation. Using materials such as magnetic tape, vinyl records, and audio cassettes, he reinterprets the physical traces of the analog world, turning familiar forms into sculptural and pictorial works. His installations evoke themes of transfer, nostalgia, and the fragility of memory, reminding us that remembrance once had a tangible medium. Balancing irony and reverence, Hildebrandt questions the role of the artist in an age dominated by digital reproduction, suggesting that art now resides not in direct representation of reality, but in the layered density of collective memory and desire.

Apocalypses. What Did You See in Hiroshima? is a powerful exhibition curated by Nicolas Crispini, exploring the devastation and legacy of the atomic bombings through testimonies, photographs, films, objects, and soundscapes. From survivor accounts to cultural echoes and traces of nuclear tests, it confronts the enduring threat of nuclear apocalypse and asks whether humanity has truly grasped the magnitude of Hiroshima.

The Alexei Jaccard Mural serves as a space for remembrance and contemplation on human rights and enforced disappearances. The inaugural exhibition, “Residual Images of Forced Disappearance,” delves into this theme with photographic works that highlight the fragility of memory while exposing absence and emptiness. These paradoxical and poetic images transform into areas of resistance against violence.
