Activism in Animated Films

Join Marcel Barelli, an illustrator and animation filmmaker focused on ecological issues and species extinction, for a thought-provoking discussion. In the context of the climate crisis, the event will explore whether animated films should carry an activist message or remain purely entertaining. Alongside journalist Laurence Difélix from RTS, Marcel Barelli will share his insights on the potential and limitations of animation as a medium. This event celebrates the 20th anniversary of the ANIMATOU festival and kicks off the 2025-2026 season’s series of discussions, in conjunction with the SAUVAGES exhibition.
