Guided Tour – Echoes

Join guide Irène Gautier at the Barbier-Mueller Museum for a unique exploration of the exhibition “Échos.” This guided tour creates a sensitive and aesthetic dialogue between the works of photographer Jean-Baptiste Huynh and the museum’s treasured collections, delving into universal themes such as motherhood, birth, life, aging, and death. The duo exhibition Memory Shelf by Gritli Faulhaber and Augusta Lardy Micheli invites viewers into a delicate dialogue between presence and absence. Their works, displayed side by side but never fully aligned, explore the edges of perception and meaning. Faulhaber’s large-scale collages evoke quiet, breath-held moments where absence speaks volumes, while Lardy’s paintings reveal sudden gestures born from long internal reflections. Together, they navigate the space between hesitation and revelation, inviting us to linger in what resists clear definition.

Opening on Thursday July 10, from 18:00 to 21:00 on the occasion of the Nuit des Bains.

The stained glass collections of the Musée Ariana are coming out of storage! When the museum was bequeathed to the City of Geneva in 1890, Gustave Revilliod had acquired 118 stained glass pieces. Today, the museum boasts over 400 pieces, spanning from the 12th to the 21st century. The fifth installment of the “The Ariana Unveils Its Reserves” series showcases an exceptional selection of this heritage.
