The theater troupe and TV series Les Deschiens, created by Jérôme Deschamps and Macha Makeïeff, brought together François Morel, Olivier Saladin, and Olivier Broche thirty-five years ago. At the same time, Yasmina Reza wrote her major hit Art, which was translated into thirty-five languages.
François Morel, a former student of the École de la Rue Blanche, is a comedian, singer, and lyricist. He has created his own shows, such as Bien des choses with Olivier Saladin and Collection Particulière, directed by Jean-Michel Ribes. In 2019, he won the Molière Award for Best Actor for his performance in J’ai des doutes and co-created the musical Tous les marins sont des chanteurs, which toured France and Switzerland. He is also well-known for his weekly radio segments, Le Billet de François Morel, on France Inter.
Olivier Saladin trained at the Théâtre des Deux Rives in Rouen and has had numerous roles in theater, television, and cinema, working with directors like Yves Angelo, Francis Palluau, and Cédric Klapish.
Olivier Broche, trained at the Cours Périmony, regularly performs in TV series and theater productions, including Moi et François Mitterrand by Hervé Le Tellier and L’Avare, directed by Olivier Lopez.
Art will be performed from May 21 to June 8, 2025, at the Théâtre de Carouge.
