The Night of the Bats

Immerse yourself in a bat-themed evening at Parc des Evaux, featuring scientific booths, talks, acoustic walks, and children’s workshops. Experts will share their passion and insights into these fascinating flying mammals through a variety of activities, including a lecture on their lifestyle, echolocation, diet, protection, and taxidermy. Kids can enjoy a bingo game and a mask-making workshop. Acoustic walks will be offered every 30 minutes. Food and beverages are available on-site. This event is organized by CCO-Genève in collaboration with the Museum of Natural History.

This free summit offers a variety of experiences including conferences, exhibitions, interactive youth workshops, and finals of robotics and innovation competitions. Beyond technology, the event will celebrate creativity with awards, a film festival, and art galleries. There will also be discussions on AI governance and international standards, ensuring ethical and inclusive technology development.

Family visit to discover an aspect of the MEG permanent exhibition.

As part of the “Partir en livres” programme, whose theme for this summer is “Animals and us”, let’s discover the gifts given by all the animals of the Arctic on the occasion of Koulou’s birth. After looking at the Inuit objects in the permanent exhibition, let’s listen to Koulou’s poem in the music room of the library. The visit will end with listening to Inuit sounds.

Family visit to discover an aspect of the MEG temporary exhibition.

As part of the “Partir en livres” program, whose theme this summer is “The animal and us”, let’s discover the story of the boy kidnapped by the salmon because he disrespected them. After observing the Salmon Chief Mask, let’s listen to the story of Shanyaak’utlaax in the library’s music room. The tour ends with a listening session to Alaskan native sounds.

Join an evening drawing class at the museum led by artist Leyla Goormaghtigh. Explore the galleries and rediscover the permanent collections while benefiting from her guidance and exercises. This activity is open to adults and teens.
