The MEG (Musée d’ethnographie de Genève) is hosting a one-day training session for early childhood professionals, organized in collaboration with the enVies association. The event will focus on exploring the role of museums in the development of young children, particularly how museums can serve as partners in cultural and artistic education. Participants will reflect on three key questions: the role of museums in early childhood development, how museums can enrich professional practice, and how to create meaningful, unique encounters with children, both inside and outside the museum setting. The training will be grounded in the “Charter for Early Learners,” which emphasizes listening to children, co-constructing learning experiences, sharing wonder, and promoting creative and poetic awakening. Speakers include Anouck Hoyois from MEG, Elena Barranco, and Maryjan Maître from the enVies association.
