In celebration of the release of Les labyrinthes du Javari, a meeting with the author, Claire-Lise Jeanneret, will take place at the museum’s library. The novel sheds light on the struggles of the Mayoruna (or Matses) people of the Javari region in the Amazon, highlighting issues such as extermination, exploitation, discrimination, and acculturation. It pays tribute to their resilience and serves as a critical reflection on our relationship with nature and indigenous cultures, urging the defense of cultures threatened by modern systems.
