Forms of the Never Was

In “Forms of the Never Was,” Matthew Harris and Patrick Loughran combine their distinct practices of textiles and ceramics to create innovative forms. Harris layers textile compositions through painted and stitched fabrics, while Loughran crafts contemporary ceramic shapes. Together, they explore form, movement, and abstraction, unfolding a surprising universe of new forms.

The Polomarco Gallery presents “Street Scripts,” its inaugural exhibition dedicated to urban art, featuring artists L’Atlas and Rafael Sliks. This visual dialogue delves into urban calligraphy transformed into sensory shapes and messages. L’Atlas, a Parisian trained in calligraphy in Morocco and Egypt, merges geometric abstraction with scriptural traditions to craft optical and enigmatic works. Rafael Sliks, hailing from São Paulo, blends graffiti and abstract style, inspired by urban chaos and nature, turning writing into a form of visual expression and escape.

Editions Zoé, a Geneva-based publishing house, has launched nearly 400 authors, standing out in the French-speaking literary world. Their archives, held at the Bibliothèque de Genève, chart this journey from artisanal printing in 1975 to prestigious literary awards. This exhibition, in collaboration with RTS Archives and Interrail, invites you to explore this rich history of success and discovery.

The Barbier-Mueller Museum presents “Échos,” an exhibition where photographer Jean-Baptiste Huynh explores the museum’s works through his artistic lens. This sensitive and aesthetic approach encourages reflection on universal themes such as birth, life, aging, and death.

“AI, Imagination, and Innovation” is an outdoor exhibition presented by Mich’Line, a project from the City of Thônex Art Fund along the Voie Verte. Open to all, the exhibition questions the role of artificial intelligence in artistic creation. Swiss artists Maëlle Gross and Elsa Wagnières delve into AI’s potential and limitations through works that blur the lines between reality and fiction. Gross tackles the postpartum experience with AI-generated compositions, while Wagnières offers an imagined bestiary reflecting environmental and technological impacts. This immersive installation invites contemplation on the aesthetic, ethical, and environmental challenges in our digital world.
