Renowned Italian writer Dacia Maraini presents reflections from her latest book, Scritture segrete, tracing the women writers who shaped her imagination. Joined by Federica Rossi, chargée d’enseignement at IUFE, Maraini examines how female authors have transformed society through language and the role of education in increasing recognition of women’s writing. The conversation investigates literary influence, mentorship and the cultural mechanisms that have obscured or revealed women’s voices in the literary canon.

This interactive memory challenge invites participants to test their memory while exploring practical ways to preserve biodiversity based on Geneva’s municipal strategy. Players match “before-and-after” images that illustrate individual and institutional actions, and each correct pair reveals concise information explaining the measure. The activity examines themes such as habitat restoration, species-friendly practices, urban greening and policy responses, helping participants understand the impact and rationale behind everyday and organisational conservation choices.

Éléonore Bernard, conservator-restorer of contemporary art and media, leads a conversation with artist Anna Winteler, whose work is included in the VideoDatabase.

The roundtable examines curatorial strategies, preservation challenges, and thematic links across selected video works, addressing historical context, material practices, and the role of archives in presenting moving-image art. Bernard and Winteler discuss individual pieces and creative processes, revealing interpretive frameworks that shape programming and public understanding.

Organised by the Grand Théâtre de Genève, Bibliopéra presents a series of workshop-lectures that invite close listening and critical reflection on the operatic repertoire. Each session, led by artists and specialists (pianist, singer, musicologists), explores a focused theme or work: discovery of bel canto and Rossini’s L’Italiana in Algeri; an exploration of baroque repertoire (Castor & Pollux); a creative writing workshop inspired by L’Empereur Atlantis; and a critical discussion of Puccini’s Madame Butterfly. The format mixes performance, analysis and hands-on activity to deepen understanding of style, history and interpretation.
